Fatima Taqvi is a speculative fiction writer from Karachi currently living in London. She is interested in decolonising parenting, in reading South Asian history, myth and folklore,  and in the crafting of words.

In 2019 her historical fiction fantasy short story was among the Finalists in the Salam Award, and before that an Honourable Mention in 2018.

You can find her sci fi short story "Unnatural Selection" in Past, Present and Future: A Read Up Anthology.

In 2017 her fantasy fiction submission made her eligible for Penguin Random House's WriteNow one day workshop.

She has upcoming fantasy fiction in Strange Horizons magazine (2021).
